DAVID HOWARD, "Teacher of Stars", was born and educated in England and received his early training from the Cone-Ripman School, which is now the Arts Education School in London. At the young age of 17, he earned the highest honor a British dance student could receive, The Adeline Genee Medal. He came to New York in 1966 to teach and later to direct the Harkness Ballet School. He has become the most sought after teacher and has been a mainstay in the professional training of many notable dancers such as Cynthia Harvey, Peter Martins, Makarova, and Baryshnikov. In New York he opened his own school in 1977.
